There are several evaluations of the KISS grounding system that conclude that it is a poor alternative to a proper counterpoise. I agree with that conclusion. Bundling a bunch of various length wires into a single cable and laying it into your bilge is not viable. There are some people that claim it works without any analysis.

One ham that is active on cruising bulletin boards actually bought one and evaluated it. Search on KA4WGA for a good discussion on this.

IMO you are better off tying flat copper from your antenna tuner to your keel (if you have one) or putting a lot of copper mesh in your bilges. There are many discussions on this topic. Seek and ye shall find.
