How loud should a plotter alarm be?

Been putting the B&G Vulcan 5 through its paces. so far underwhelmed with the cartography (see my other thread)..

New problem, I never used it before on this unit, but using the alarm ( AIS collision avoidance, low depth, etc), I noticed that it is WAY too quiet. Not like its a little bit too quiet, it is whisper quiet. I have B&G displays, which can wake the dead, as well as every other plotter I have owned could. This is barely above a whisper (not an exaggeration )

Here is a video of it. Quiet day, no wind, no nothing. about 1 foot away, it is barely audible. https://youtu.be/oMne4mtJqPk Here it is with the engine idling (which is not loud itself) https://youtu.be/W8v2LBg4RIE

Unsure if this is the way the vulcan 5 is, or there is a defect. B&G support basically said I am SOL. Maybe they will do something on a future software upgrade.

Anyone else have a vulcan 5 that has a louder alarm siren? Maybe mine is just defective.
