Icom m710

I’m not trying to be stupid or create havoc. I want to program some areas of the m710 and have the software (exe1726) and the equipment to run DOS, etc.

After reading the programming, I can’t figure out what I need to change to allow the radio to run both marine and ham frequencies

Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated. I’m a licensed ham and understand the FCC position on this and the other aspects of this. I’d really like to avoid these discussions and focus narrowly on my issue. Many thanks.

Gregg

There are many docs showing how and what to change. I too have prepared one. It might help, or it might not. Regardless, here is what I have...

Re: Icom m710

I just made this video earlier today, setting up the EX1726 software on my new Dell laptop. My next video will go over the settings, but the should be documented in a text file that came with the software. IIRC, one of the pages let's you define bands. From the factory only marine bands are defined, and HAM either are not there at all or are defined as receive only. You need to add the HAM bands, and set them to TX.

Great video. I’m not sure I got it all, but I’m going to go back and get this. Look forward to the actual programming changes. Thanks for sharing!
