In Hull Tranducers

I was wondering what in hull transducer is compatible with B&G Zeus3 7 using NMEA 2000 backbone. Is Garmin 010-11394-00 In-Hull P79 NMEA2000 Transducer a viable option?

Re: In Hull Tranducers

Depends on what you want.

For depth only, the “smart” version of the P79 by Aimar will connect to your nema network and work fine. Doesn’t matter what brand is on it. NMEA2000 data is brand agnostic.

If you actually want detailed sonar/fish finder data the “smart” versions will not do that. You need the “dumb?” version connected directly to the mfd’s sonar module.
