Iridium GO stopped working on passage

Tried antenna up and down, start button, alternative cables, pulled and reinstalled battery. Nothing, won’t show any sign of life. I have STARLINK working. Is there a decent tracking app I can use with STARLINK to share our track and put our track on our blog. I’ve been using predict wind’s tracking with iridium Go. Thanks

You can send your lat long to predict wind by email : https://help.predictwind.com/en/arti...ates-via-email

You can also just use the PredictWind offshore app the regular app to update your track.

Of course all of these are manual. You would need a computer to setup a script to email on a period basis, if you have all of those things on board you could do that.

This would be great since I have both apps and a STARLINK internet connection but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to send coordinates to update my track. I can download the latest Iridium go generated track. But how do I send an update?

I'd suggest https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...hl=en_US&gl=US.

I can send a blog post to my tracking page but I can’t send a location signal.

The Predictwind Datahub is predictwind's answer for people who want integrated features like tracking with a satellite service like starlink or a cell phone.

https://www.predictwind.com/datahub/

I have used airmail's automatic position reports feature to automatically email predictwind with my lat and long via winlink/SSB. It was tricky to setup to send the email in the format Predictwind wants, but it worked. Can't say I endorse it as a good solution, but it did work.

Re: Iridium GO stopped working on passage

Please do report further on the iridium go issue, especially if the root cause and/or a solution is found. Many thanks in advance for sharing.

Re: Iridium GO stopped working on passage

I was able to manually update my location using Offshore. Went to GPS Tracking>Show Legend and Blog>click on the location + symbol next to add a
Post> copied GPS coordinates from Navionics (could be any source) then posted.[emoji3]

Sounds like a power issue. I have a possible solution, but don’t have my GO with me to test the idea.

Try removing the battery and running it with just the power cord.

Re: Iridium GO stopped working on passage

Unfortunately with the Go!, if the battery fails it won't work at all, which may be the issue here. You may need to replace the battery. For those out of port for long periods of time, carrying a second/spare Go! Battery is a good idea.
