Lewmar 89300180-B autopilot drive - clutch issue

Autopilot drive runs but clutch doesn't engage. The 5 amp fuse to electromagnetic clutch blows instantly.

Removed drive and connected both motor & clutch directly to a 12v battery. Drive runs and Clutch engages. However when an inline fuse is introduced to the clutch the fuse blows.

Looking to remove the clutch portion of the autopilot drive as suspect it is shorting & causing fuse to blow.

So Motor portion of drive works fine on its own inline 40 amp fuse.

Has anyone removed one of these clutches from the housing before? do I need some sort of bearing puller?

Hoping to take the clutch to a motor rewinder to see if they can test & fix as having trouble sourcing a replacement p/n 89300213.
