Making Navionics sd card for Raymarine.....

Just starting to dig for the impossible. Has anyone been able to create their own Navionics cards to use in Raymarine c and e series MFD?

Of course the current crop of carteridges are encrypted and breaking the encryption is out of the question legally and difficult technilogically.

Was there an earlier version of their charting format that was not encrypted? Does anyone know the data layout for the cards? Has this been done?

I'm thinking that it would be nice to make your own cards with selected charts from public sources. Hard to do of course.... but not impossible.

Regards

did you have any luck? I'm on a similar "boat" - even ebay will not ship to my country and the local crooks charging twice as much for the same (already too expensive) navionics+ cards.
