Moitessier HAT -2 what version compatible with Open CPN

I have a Moitessier HAT second generation that I purchased for the AIS feature. I want to finally install it but my question is wether I need to downgrade Open CON version to make it work? I just downloaded the latest version of Open CPN and noticed the performance on the charts are now slower than before.

So is Open plotter dead? Is mu moitissie hat worthless?
