Navico Knot Meter Problem

I installed some Brand New, 10 year old Navico instruments that were purchased as a boat show deal, depth sounder and knot meter. Today when I went to power them up and test to confirm function the knot meter display will not show any reading when I spin the paddle wheel by hand, as the boat is on the hard I am wondering If the sending unit has to be submerged to work or am I having a hardware problem.

No, the Knot-Log doesn’t have to be in the water to function properly.

See the very simple Knot-Log & Wind-Speed Anemometer “Tap-Test” procedure at:

Pain in the Navico

Does anyone know where I might be able to have the transducer serviced if required?

I doubt that transducers are servicable.
Airmar makes most of the OEM transducers, and should have a replacement for yours.
Goto ➥ Airmar Ultrasonic Air Products

Or to ➥ AIRMAR MARINE PRODUCTS
