Need help with Autohelm 6000 linear drive

My Autohelm 6000 linear drive was not releasing when placed in standbye unless I forced the wheel back and forth. I followed some good posts here on disassembling and cleaning up the linear drive - so did that and all bench tested fine. When I reinstalled, , it works and engages - the arm does move in and out when the +10 is pushed, but it does not have the strength to push the rudder.

Im guessing I have a washer in the wrong spot, or perhaps lubed something that I shouldn't have ....

Any ideas from fellow autohelm/raymarine linear drive rebuilders?

Try changing the brushes in the motor.
