Need quickest way to fix sticky button

My boat has the B&G Zeus3 and Triton2 setup. Works well for the most part.

Yesterday I was out sailing solo. Using the Triton2 autopilot pad I engaged the autopilot. I went forward to adjust mainsheet. Back at the helm I pressed the Standby button on the AP pad. No joy. No sound of the button being pressed and the AP remained engaged. After trying a few times with the same result, I opened the AP page on the Zeus3 and put the AP into Standby from there. I went through this process a few times to verify the Standby button was not responding.

About a hour later I was back in the slip. Before shutting everything down, I used the AP pad to engage the AP. Then I pressed the Standby button, heard the chirp, and the AP was in Standby. I tried it a few more times and it worked each time.

Anyone have this issue before? What might be the quickest way to get the button to respond? I think it is a mechanical hangup, not electronic.

B&G service has been responsive before, but they must be overloaded now. I gave up on a call after 50 minutes on hold.
