NEMA2K Elevation guage

I'm so going to hell for this. New guy at the marine store. We are redoing our electronics and have a good relationship with them as we are frequently in, well they have a new guy. We explained that when we are sailing along the coast we are in awe over some of the mountains we see. We asked if they Cary a NEMA2k Altimeter so we know how high we are. This poor kid spent 2 days researching online and finally asked his boss.. the boss called me right away and only said, your a d&$k. Roflmao

I have to agree with the marine store boss.

You are a d&$k because anyone familiar with a GPS and NMEA 2000 would know that field 6 of PGN 129029 is Altitude.

I guess you missed the point... the OP was just bragging about what a d--k he was to the new kid.

He actually seems proud of coming up with a new version of sending someone looking for a left-handed monkey wrench, blinker fluid, sky hook, or any one of a number of other tasks that are supposed to:

(a) humiliate the new kid for laughs, and
(b) "prove" that the old fart is smarter

I guess the OP didn't get enough of the laughs he was hoping for at the marine store, so is hoping we all laugh at the new stupid kid and help prove how smart the OP is.
