Netscape ?

Is anyone aware of any Netscape problems, this weekend? I have had no end of difficulty, yesterday & today, both at home and the office.
My Explorer connection works normally.

Netscape still makes a browser? Wow.

Netscape?!? Isn't that like trying to re-warm up bread found in Pompeii?

I didn't know it was still around either.

I use Netscape and IE, both. What I can't do on one I do on the other. I found with Nescape I can't Copy and paste some stuff and with IE I can't get the latest Shockwave-flash or the likes. The site keeps changing and with it so do the problems.

I've looked at Safri but really don't like the format.

Opera is another option. Again as with Netscape there are a "few" things that need IE but not much. Also with Opera the usual pop-ups that come with using IE are non-existant. Since using Opera I have not had a virus, attempted or infected. Seems the creators of the virus' typically take aim at anything microsoft. That leaves Opera and I would imagine any other non MS explorers somewhat safe.

I have had so much problem with Netscape 8.1.2 hanging up all weekend I broke down and started using IE. It seems to hang the request to socialknowledge.us.intellint.com (or something like that) on this site, but found it on other sites as well.

Tried to download and reinstall and no change. Ran every possible combonation of virus, maleware, etc scanners and came back with nothing.

Haven't been able to figure out the cause.

I've been using Safari for about a year now and haven't had a problem. Therefore I love it! But then, as far as I can tell, it only runs on a Mac. So you PC folks are still stuck.
