New iPad Pro upgrade can’t connect to Wi-fi multiplexer

Hi all I’ve recently upgraded to I new iPad Pro from a 2014 iPad Air 2, I run iNavx via a Brookhouse iMux st which worked perfectly with my iPad Air 2. The problem is I’ve copied the Wi-fi settings from the old iPad to the new one and the TCP/IP ie 169.254.1.1 port 2000. I think it’s some thing to do with the the Wi-fi settings I’ve manually input 169.254.1.2 sub mask 255.255.0.0 as per original instructions however the options are not there for static tab as before. Both iPads are on IOS14.6
I would really appreciate any assistance anyone could offer 👍

Have spend huge time before getting my Quark A031 work with iPad. The WiFi connection to Quark multiplexer kept dropping after couple of minutes. Eventually noticed you need turn off 'smart connection' or a similar thing on iPad. iPad regualarly check the Internet connection if the current WiFi doesn't support Internet it will automatically swith to other WiFi network or mobile connection

I think you mean "auto-join hotspot"?
