New Opinions on Signet Marine Instruments

I am needing to replace Navico depth and knot meter. Real junk, the instruments failed after 1 year. I have been looking at Signet instruments SL172 depth sounder SL276A knot meter, seem to be nice and simple and the plus is will fit in same openings as the old stuff.

Would like to hear some opinions from individuals with experience using this brand?
