New radar sugestions

Hi all. The radar on our boat is pretty much original from the 90's. It works sometimes, and usually only for 5-10 minutes. A loud grinding noise comes from the dome as well. My keen diagnostic mind tells me it's time to replace it.[emoji39]
We have a raymarine chart plotter. Unfortunately we are away from the boat so I dont have the model to check compatability. That said, I would like to run a dedicated display inside the saloon as well, or solely if needed. That is how the current system is, and we can see it through the window from the cockpit. Adding an overlay on the chart plotter would be a nice bonus.
I'm not worried about setup, the current placement is great, and I can use the existing wires to fish the new ones(yes I want to update wiring as well)
My biggest question would be recommendations for models, and moniter/display.
We are running nmea 0183 with a seatalk ng adapter.
mostly use the radar for weather, storm tracking. But have as well for fog and dark nights. We do have ais as well.
As for budget, what I've been finding online seems to be 2-3000$. We are ok in that range, can dig up a little more if it's a drastic increase in product, but of course would like to stay on the lower side if possible.

Found a partial pic of the plotter. It obviously supports radar.
I'm guessing a new radar won't be backwards compatable though
