Not dual radar, rather switchable from one to another as the necessity arises. It's nice having options.

Re: New Simrad Electronics Are Way Cool

3G radar is awesome. NSS with touch screen capability and a faster processor than most other chartplotters is awesome. I was getting my boat outfitted in June of this year....I waited for the 3G (hey, I'm a retired radar guy...I just had to!!) to come out in June and NSS would've caused another 3 or 4 week delay in boat delivery and I couldn't stand it, so I went with Lowrance HDS-10. THe Standard Horizon GX-2150 radio gives you AIS and DSC waypoints and receives the GPS from the CP over 0183 interface. The Simrad RC42 heading sensor is not the cheapest one (available for 490-ish) but it uses NMEA 2000 interface which is as easy and pie to integrate.

My 3G overlayed on my HDS-10 with SH GX-2150 AIS and DSC is just awesome. NSS would only make it better.

Capecuddy, How do you use your boat and equipment? If you are using it for fishing, you should check out the sidescan.

I'm not fishing yet. Have heard good things about structure scan and have an ethernet port earmarked for it when I do.
