New Tacktick Speed / Depth = Old NKE Transducers

Hi I have just joined up here and it looks great. Can anyone help me.I want to know can I use my old NKE transducers (NMEA) to work with my new Tacktick solar powered Speed/Depth and the hull transmitter.
I have new transducers coming but dont want to lift out boat and change skin fittings as NKE different size.

Much appreciated.

The transducers are NMEA? Or you want to keep the NKE interface too? The Tacktick hull transmitter will accepts the NMEA data just fine. You'd have to check with Tacktick if the transducers you have will work with the hull transmitter. Likely will.

Hi thanks for reply.I want to keep the nke ransducers not the box or any other part as its an old defunkt system.
i have a feeling if the plugs were cut off the existing NKEs they could connect to the Tacktick box hopefully.
If not I will have to lift boat and replace NKE with Tacktick transducers supplied but I hope to do this anyway over the winter season during lift out.

Try it, if you can figure out the wires. I doubt you could hurt anything. Both speed and depth transducers are pretty 'inert' things.

If either has a different number of wires than the proper transducers you've some thinking to do.

Hi my initial investigation suggests that the speed has the same number 5 and the depth has 2.
One less than they have.I emailed them now and hopefully they will return.
