Unhappy NMEA0183 cable required

I would like to connect my Camino AIS to my Furuno radar via the NMEA ports. Although I can purchase the right cable for the Furuno, it is an outrageous price.

I don't seem to be able to find the right plug for the Camino anywhere.

Has anyone out there done this, and if so, how did you manage?

Ross-
Offhand I have no idea what connectors you are looking at, but would suggest that if you are in the US, you look online at Newark Electronics, or Digikey, or Mouser and you will see aplethora of cable fittings. Or, email some pix of each end to their tech support staff, who can probably tell you what you would need.
Alternatively, there are custom cable outfits that make up data cables (NMEA cables are essentially just computer industry cables) with all sorts of fittings to all sorts of standards. Again, it is best to send them pictures of exactly what you need at each end.
The manufacturer MIGHT tell you what the cable fitting is as well.
