NMEA2000 Position Printer

Just curious, is there such a thing as a printer that periodically prints out the position and heading (that connects to an NMEA 2000 network)?

Re: NMEA2000 Position Printer

I'm not aware of one, but a resourcefulness geek could likely cobble something together.

That said, there are other ways to log position, course, and speed that might meet your needs. Most chart plotters record your track and that can be extracted into a file and used by other tools. And most of the low end satellite devices do tracking and plot it on a web map. And there are a wide range of N2K data loggers that capture and dump raw data to files. So there may be a bunch of other ways to skin the cat, whatever sort of cat it is.
