Northstar 952X GPS Firmware

I recently replaced my aging Northstar 952X GPS with a used one which was in very good condition. The problem is I can't change the date the correct date. It keeps reverting to 1999. I presume the fix is in a firmware or software update. The unit I'm having trouble is using software version 4.02.

Does anyone know if that is the current version, and if not the procedure for updating it.

Looks like 4.20 is current based on the link: Software Updates | Northstar

This blurb from the Release Notes might be related:

2) A software bug was found that would send an erroneous ‘seed’ date to the GPS engine (CMC ALLSTAR and SUPERSTAR, WAAS and NON-WAAS) starting on January 1, 2011. While this issue has no effect at present, a fix was made to remedy this “future” problem.
