Older Datamarine instruments and latest Vesper AIS

I have the old Datamarine wind, speed, depth taht all work well and have NMEA 0183, yet never connected.
I’m looking at upgrading my ais to the vesper Xb 8000, to utilise the wifi and their watch mate app.
I have spoken to vesper and they say it is doable, so I thought I would ask the forum to see if anyone has this set up and any problems with it.
Pics are of the instruments manual and the page that has the NMEA connections, Vesper says to connect the xb8000 to the NMEA out on the CW360, wind instrument.
I’m probably spanning 30 years of tech here and would be amazed if there are not tricks involved.

it looks like the data marine outputs everything on a single nmea 183 port. so yes. you can upload this to the vesper.

Absolutely. This is what makes the xb8000 so good. Future chart plotters can go on the nmea2000 and computers or iPads get everything through wifi. There's no need to change functioning old instruments.
