Open CPN 2.5

Ok i know there are alot of posts here but will take me days to sort through just to find my simple problem.

I found open cpn on the forum here while trying to solve my cmap problems so I downloaded it.

Now I have the program BUT only seem to have a black screen with the countrys outlined in blue.

So i take it I need charts? so in tool box I add my cm93ATT file

but nothing happens???

Any advise will be much appreciated.

Installing Charts | Official OpenCPN Homepage - you have to select the directory containing the charts, not any file. The rest of the manual is of course also worth reading

Ok I have my charts showing now..... Its not showing the names of Islands,reefs,town and citys and there are some sections of reef missing
could someone please tell me if this is normal or is there a setting or download i need????

Are you sure you have read the whole Installing Charts | Official OpenCPN Homepage? Especially the part called "Start using your charts." - the paragraphs around the picture of an icon with "A+" on it? And Toolbox Settings | Official OpenCPN Homepage? Especially the part called "Vector Charts Tab"? Are your settings the same as shown on the screenshot there?

Has anyone used a wifi multiplexer to get data into open cpn? I can't figure out how to do that. I have a ship modul wifi multiplexer and am running system 7 64 bit.

There was always a very useful Caribbean chart available from Colombia. It shows almost the entire western Caribbean (I know that's not the trendy side). The link now takes me to a long list of indecipherable documents which won't download anyway!

Does anyone know how to acquire that chart?
