Open cpn on ms surface

Hi,
I need a little help configuring Opencpn,
As i understand it the native - onboard GPS device on my ms surface pro 5 (1807) needs the 'TwoCan' plugin to translate it's gnss data for ocpn in NMEA.
I have activated this plugin but i don't know how to configure the settings. as still not getting location data to ocpn

Has anyone done this? or is there a good thread?

Advice much appreciated

what is the problem to get positioning? is that o.s. doesn't install the COM port to access to GNSS.

FTB only way to access to positioning but only with NMEA 0183 RMS sentence is via external software in GitHub, instructions of use in the same web page:

Posted to another thread and got a quick solution

Thanks Corsair63

Totally incorrect.

The TwoCan plugin is used for connecting OpenCPN to NMEA 2000 networks and provides bi-directional conversion between NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183. It is not appropriate for this scenario.

As others have said, there are third party utilities that use the Windows Sensor API to transmit NMEA 183 position information over TCP/IP.

However if you are daring, there is another plugin, totally untested, that uses the Windows Sensor API to provide position data directly to OpenCPN. It can be downloaded from the following link, and is installed from the Plugin Manager, using the "Import Plugin" option. If you would like to test this, I would be interested in any feedback and determining whether it actually works.
