You should find out what process is pid: 2689. If you do not have an unusable system try to run "top" in the terminal to see what is happening and what process is consuming too much resources.

NMEA2000 sounds very interesting!

Besides NMEA2000 I have two more CAN busses on my boat, that I would like to talk to another:

- P-Bus from the Philippi board electronic (Panel, tanks gauges, charger, current management)
- Volvo Penta CAN bus (motor temperature, RPM, much more data with bigger motors)

There are (very expensive) interfaces to connect those busses, but it would be very cool to have all data available in OpenPlotter. If OpenPlotter could send all the gathered data out to NMEA2000 it would be even better.

Is there a chance to connect those busses one day?

If you just want to have data in OpenCPN you should use the NGW-1, if you want to have more than navigation data NGT-1.

In both cases you should configure the devices with the software provided by actinsense (windows) and then just connect to openplotter. You do not need drivers, all is in OP.

Set NGW-1 device in NMEA 0183 tab.
Set NGT-1 device in Signal K tab.

I have tested a little with the NGW-1 and OpenCPN, and it looks like OpenCPN is able to send XTE and other information on the NMEA 2000 bus when activating a route. I am hoping to be able to feed the autopilot with route information in this way.
Would this be possible with the NGT-1 as well?

Tested the new Pi 3 beta yesterday. Seemed to work perfectly as far as I could tell, although I am just learning how to use Kplex.

Fixing bug on OP v0.7.1beta

SignalK instrumentpanel does not work properly. To fix it download this file, unzip and replace files in

/home/pi/.config/signalk-server-node/bower_components/instrumentspanel/dist.

Connect remotely to

my_openplotter_ip:3000/instrumentpanel/?reset=true

and it should work now.

Sailoog great work on latest Beta 0.7.1

Some feedback
Performance and stability
Works nice and fast on my RPI3.
Tried as many options as possible - rock solid so far

Switches, Temp sensor and Alarm LED's work just fine

OpenGL
OpenGL driver just doesn't work for me but perhaps because Ive tweaked/hacked at config.txt to get my 1024x768 panel display running properly. Anyway, performance is fine without OpenGL so not a big issue for me.

Wireless AP
I can reconfigure the wireless AP and it works with new settings but a PI reboot looses the new settings and defaults back to to SSID OpenPlotter and Passwd 12345678.

SignalK
I'm lost with this one - I'm happy with what Ive got for now so will wait for more documentation and gauges before trying it again.

If you uncomment the lines in boot/config.txt these will be always your AP data. I assume your are working headless, so config.txt is your place to set your AP data and not the WiFi AP tab on the openplotter GUI
