Panasonic Wireless display CF-08 & VNC

Hi all
I use a Panasonic CF-08 wireless display as a OpenCPN cockpit repeater over VNC. Everything was working just fine until a few days ago when in a "senior moment" I reset the device to factory settings. This deleted the flash memory and I have now lost the VNC viewer that I was using to see the host computer.
Before anyone asks ... No I didn't backup the flash memory

Does anyone know where I can get a VNC viewer/client for this device ?
(Not at any of the VNC sites that I could find)
Does anyone have a copy they could send me ?

The CF-08 does come with windows remote desktop client but I now have windows 10 running on the host PC and RD Host./server is no longer part of the home edition. In any case VNC is better.

Thanks
Steve (UK)

Re: Panasonic Wireless display CF-08 & VNC

Ola Steve,

I have the same problem than you. I would repeat my CubieTruck-Android on a Panasonic CF-08, but it seems there is not RDP server for Android, only VNC servers.

1) I have try BrWinCE at https://www.br-automation.com/fr/tel...er-wince-5060/
It work, a little slow, better using zlib encoding

2) Also http://www.mochasoft.dk/smtvnc.cab, has the avantage to adjust the display size to the client.

3) A workaround, not the simplest but good performance. I have a running Linux box with Xrdp which provide a RDP server, but also get the screen in client mode throught a VNC server. So I have replaced the local address of linux box, running as a bridge, by the address of CubieTruck, running a VNC server, in /etc/xrdp/xrdp.ini

[xrdp1]
name=sesman-Xvnc
lib=libvnc.so
username=ask
password=ask
ip=127.0.0.1 192.168.127.130
port=-1 5901

And connect RDP client on CF-08 to Linux box address

Times to refresh desktop with background image:
BrWinCE (zlib) 5s (default tight) 8s
Mocha VNC 6s
VNC-RDP bridge 3s

From your side, the day when you put a hand of this unfoundable RealVNC client...
