Radome mounts

Scanstrut seems to be the predominant player. Are there any more simple (less spendy) mounts out there? I’m looking something along the line of the stamped aluminum mount of the ufo tv antennas.

Re: Radome mounts

Look if you can a used one. We got a second hand one, stripped the paint off (luck had it that someone was sodablasting a boat in the same yard as us, so it was only a beer we paid for it.) and repainted it.

Re: Radome mounts

What type of mount are you looking for, self leveling or fixed, mast, back stay or pole mounted?

Fixed, mast mount.
This should be a no brainer with a couple pieces of laser cut AL sheet.

Re: Radome mounts

We made an aluminum wind gen mount years ago for the mizzen and it has held up well.

A radome mount should be fairly easy to make if you have shop access. We didn't use a laser to cut the alum. sheeting, but if you have it may as well use it.

Please post your final creation to inspire others to DIY.
