Ray Marine Auto Pilot Malfunction

We have a Type 3 Hydraulic Autopilot (M81202). After a 30 mile, calm seas passage, autopilot would not disengage & steering locked up. I believe it may be clutch malfunction but cannot find service manual & Ray Marine was not much help when I called. Does anyone have an exploded diagram or service manual?? Or can anyone describe how to access inside of clutch?
"A" - MFer won't budge!!!
How do I get inside of "B"? (See pics)

Thanks, in advance, for any help you can offer.

Re: Ray Marine Auto Pilot Malfunction

Not familiar with that autopilot but my guess would be that you unscrew the hex nut in image B and remove the solenoid and then there will be another hex nut underneath the solenoid which when unscrewed will allow the shuttle for the bypass valve to be removed.

Appreciate the input. If unable to obtain an exploded diagram, will proceed (fingers crossed).

Re: Ray Marine Auto Pilot Malfunction

Where did the brassy looking filings in image B come from?
