Hope this helps.
Unfortunately I don't have a Raystar 125 GPS Receiver nor an autopilot course computer so don't think this is an option for my particular set up but thanks for sharing the advice in case anyone else does.

Cheers

in that case it's not a plotter issue. it's either a seatalk bus issue or GPS antenna issue.

the ray 120's and 125's are old and all dying.
My Ray125 GPS receiver is very much alive and working well. I have a full set of Raymarine electronics including an E120W plotter, E90W plotter, color radar, color sonar, ST7001 Autopilot, ST60+ depth, speed and wind, Ray55 VHF and AIS650 Transceiver. All different ages and networking connections that works very well. I have called on Raymarine for tech support and repair support (not many times needed) and they have always been prompt , helpful, courteous and very reasonable price wise. I'm solid Raymarine.

That said, kas 1611, where is your GPS signal coming from? Having installed the entire system above I understand Raymarine quite well, maybe I can help. Feel free to PM me if you want a phone # to call me.

The GPS is definitely coming from the C90W chartplotter and no other external source.
