raymarine cw120 to axiom pro wiring

im upgrading a c120w to axiom pro 12, all instruments were daisy chained on the c120 with only a seatalk 3 pin cable coming off the st7002 into the c120 with 3 wires connected, white/red white/yellow and white/black, which manual says are for seatalk, i connected that to the seatalk to seatalkNG converter kit and then to the axiom 12 and it is only seeing the I60 and nothing else, any help or insight would be great,

suggest you draw a wiring diagram of your system, call RM tech support explain what you are trying to do. Tell them you will send a wiring diagram then request their reply by email.
good luck

Draw a diagram of house the devices are interconnected, and snap a photo of the wires at the converter. Shoot that to me in an email, ahoy@sea-tech.com.

Re: raymarine cw120 to axiom pro wiring

Keitho , From your description, is your network connected similar as per this dwg, or do you have some SeaTalkNG backbone too?

Checks or things to consider:
Have you only one source of power to the network?
Have you both end terminators installed?

On the Axiom menu, go to the NMEA Network page and see what devices are shown listed - are they all there, if not which devices are missing?

On the Axiom menu go to data sources page - what is available for manual selection for each type of data input? Can you select each device?

Is there sufficient length on the Seatalk1 to Seatalk NG cable to plug each device in sequentially and check that individually the Axiom recognises each end device? That will confirm the individual data per head unit is correct.

If the individual devices show as above, is it possible change the sequence of the Seatalk series connections , or make a "star' connection with the Seatalk1 3 way block. Then see if that changes what you can see on the Axiom.

I note that the I60 has both Seatalk1 and SeatalkNG connections. Depending on what other instrumentation you have, an option could be to upgrade further to a SeatalkNG backbone and only have the ST7002 via the Seatalk1 and SeatalkNG converter.
