Raymarine GPS Antenna
The GPS antenna for my AIS650 has stopped working. Is there anything special about it? Can I replace it with any aftermarket passive antenna?

Does it have a battery inside? Some RM units do.

No. It just has ceramic antenna backed onto a metal ground and then a grp board to mount it in the plastic case. I don't think there are any components under the ground.


It comes out on a TNC connector. There is only a single conductor and screen in the cable.
