Raymarine plotter / Radar combo

Trying to pick a combo and have a few questions, seeking advice.

1. Difference between the a series and the e series and the new es series, I can't find out what the operational differences actually are. I thought I wanted an e series, but which one? And now there is the new es.

2. Difference between Digital Radar and the HD color Radar.

Use will be on a 38" IP in cruising, I'm familiar with Radar having had in years past both JRC and Garmin systems, power consumption is a factor here, so short warm-up and low power consumption is a factor.
Although Sonar may be a nice feature to have on a plotter, I doubt I will use it.

Last Radar / plotter combo I had was a Garmin 740S, and while I have very good luck with it, and can get a Garmin system for much less money as I'm a Garmin dealer, I want to be able to remote my plotter display to an Ipad or similar device while I'm off watch and down below, and Raymarine seems to lead the way with Wifi?

Map quality / accuracy on the plotter isn't as great a concern, I have Garmin app loaded on an Ipad and use Open CPN, but a plotter in the cockpit is nice to have, one that is really waterproof and well mounted and daylight readable
