Raymarine Quantum WiFi on steel boat

The Lighthouse based MFD with NO ethernet port is at the Nav station. The radar is on the mast with only WiFi.
The radar connects to the MFD but often drops out because of the metal deck weakening or stopping the signal.
Can a WiFi router in the cockpit which can see the MFD and radar solve the problem by acting as a bridge?

Or can anyone suggest any other solution?

Re: Raymarine Quantum WiFi on steel boat

I hope that someone will have a constructive reply. I have the same problem with a Furuno wireless radar not staying on line to an iPad in the wheelhouse, through a steel deck. I did improve the situation by finding the antenna in the radar and cutting out the aluminum panel under the radar that was blocking it.
