reliable yacht radar

dear forum readers and especially dear radar experts,
we are looking for a reliable radar system after we had some very bad experience with a modern Halo+ radar scanner and associated Zeus³ MFD. Unfortunately we have not been able to get the Halo scanner to work via radar plugin in OpenCPN. This would at least solve the problems with the expensive Zeus MFD-toy.
Who has good long-term experience with a radar brand and can recommend them.

The halo and Zeus should be good. What issues did you have.

Hi,
it should be reliable, unfortunately not in our case and friends of ours also had negative experiences. Our MFD has already been replaced 2 times and now the display is black and it stays black and we can not turn on the MFD. So now we have the 3rd MFD and after just under 2 years already need customer service again $$$$
