My reseller (satellitephonestore.com) does offer rollover minutes for an additional $5/month. It only accumulates at a rolling-12-month sort of way, so you can't store them up forever, but it's pretty great.

It works out well because months go by where I'm paying $150/month getting nothing for it, but then I have a huge pool of 700 minutes for a month when we're out in the middle of nowhere.

If I didn't have a job that needed connectivity like that though, I think I'd stick with the ssb to be honest.

We run on an ipad and a local sim card in the ABC's... 3G internet anywhere we have cell phone coverage. However, we have Iridium for off-shore communications.

Was not available in Bahamas last time we were there 3 yrs ago.
