Bit late on this, but...

If you are looking for a neat, cheap NMEA/Seatalk bridge which also has a display, and are not scared of homebrew then you won't get better than this:

gadgetPool.de - SeaTalk NMEA Bridge & Repeater - Connecting Seatalk und NMEA devices

have the brookhouse AIS mux with display on our new boat. Interfaced the NMEA fluxgate, ST7000 autopilot, GPS plotter, AIS/VHF/DSC (HS NEMA), Seatalk tridata, all talking together nicely. The best customer support as well.

If you have a mixed environment, it was the only one I found that could integrate NMEA, NMEA HS, Seatalk, AIS with an optional USB computer interface in one package

Best place to ask about this would be on the Panbo site. Panbo Forum

Re: Seatalk-NMEA-Display

....or, you could look at a MiniPlex-2Wi from ShipModule
These units deal with mixed environments plus have WiFi output for laptops/iPads/iPhones etc.
My situation is Raymarine Seatalk (ST60's), to which I'll add an AIS (NMEA) combining them with the MiniPlexer which shoots it to WiFi on the iPad (helm) and MacBook Pro (WiFi or USB) down below. The iPad and laptop both run iNavX with X-Traverse charts. To keep the Autohelm simple I use the Raymarine ST60 controller run separately to the helm.

oops... caught with older post... just saw previous post was 6-9-2010
