Hi all
an opinium pls. I just purgaged a "new boat" and it has this radio fitted but I can´t find the operators head for this radio, how is the expeirence with this unit is it obsolite

It's an HF radio. I found this link on eHam.

It's an old radio, expensive for it's time. They're selling for under $500 on eBay, you might be able to sell it for parts. If you are really into radios, it would be fun to keep. Otherwise, get a decent marine VHF for ship to ship/shore. Amateur and maritime HF requires a license, which you can look into depending on your jurisdiction, home port. HF radio operation is something I intend to do when I set sail.

My suggestion, salvage it and use the space for a VHF.
