SGC230 24v convert to 12v

I have a sgc230 looks like it is 24v version. However, it is labeled 12-24v by the terminals. I tried 12v but it does not operate…. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this version operating on 12v.

I have scoured Sgc website, nothing there. They are closed till tomorrow so I thought I would try the group in the meantime.
Thanks

I found the attached. You may have the 24V option but the specs indicate it won’t work on 12V or they would make them all the same. But maybe there is a dc-dc converter added that you can take out. Calling them seems best
