Simrad CR44 Radar - Worst customer service ever?

Delfin, did you solve your problem? I have the same issue with my CR44. Light blue screen locked on with no reponse to the power button. The only way to shut it down is to pull the power from the back of the unit. I'm in the market for a fix.

Try a master reset. Breaker off, hold down pwr and clr buttons while repowering. This blows away the setup unique to your vessel and restores everything to factory defaults, which you modify in the setup menu. Hope that fixes it for you!

No, Scooter, sadly my Simrad is still buggered. This was suggested and worth a try for someone with similar issues with his unit. Perhaps you could suggest to him three or four times that he fiddle with with his illumination. Who knows, someday you may be right!
