Simrad NSE 8 Chartplotter glue covering 30+ % of screen…

Clearly a defect in materials or workmanship…out of warranty of course…About 6 months after warranty expired I asked Simrad to replace the screen and they kissed me off said buy a new Plotter..Any one else have this issue, and if so, what was the fix ?

Clarification needed..the glue/adhesive is behind the glass but in front of the display which distorts the image…the glue/adhesive is creeping inward from all four display edges….
