Sounder multiple extension cables

Does any one have experience using multiple extension cables for their sounder?

I'm looking to replace my hull mounted sounder with a transom mounted model. This would require 30 to 40ft of cable extension. Lawrence recommend a maximum of one 10ft extension cable citing loss of signal clarity. Is this just the OEM being cautions are are their real concerns?

I'm assuming one extended cable would be better than daisy chaining multiple 10ft extensions?

I'd be interested in peoples results from using significant extensions.

Thanks

Re: Sounder multiple extension cables

Yes, there is a reason and there is a loss associated with extra cable length. Stick to recommendations from the manufacturer.
