Speaker stopped working on iCom HM-162B Commandmic III

Hello,

From one day to the next, the output audio (speaker) on our iCom Commandmic III remote VHF stopped working. The microphone and other functions work fine, and the speaker audio on the main IC-M504 works as well.

I've searched far and wide for solutions, made sure all pins and pin connectors were cleaned, added silicone to ensure connectors pass current, and have reached the limit of my abilities.

Can anyone provide advice, please?

Odds are it is a broken wire in the cable. If finding and fixing that is past your abilities, then you will need to replace it.

Same symptoms ended up sending to ICOM in NJ. Needed a couple of chips In the 504 . Be sure and send both microphone and base unit as the fault could be in either one.
Best was all good for $135.
