J1, and gnd on the antenna tuner circuit board still elude me.
Many SEA tuners require just two things:
(1) a coax connection from the transceiver (in this case, the M700); and (2) a 12VDC connection. They will work with ANY transceiver.

I was just testing one yesterday, the second one I've had for some time. First one has been sold.

It would help to see a picture of the tuner you have to be sure exactly which model we're talking about here.

If you can't post one here, please email me a pic direct to:

Section 3.2 mentions your RF connection is J1, looks like the shield connection is right next to it?

Re: SSB Antenna Question

Here here Mike!!

He was able to determine that the ssb antenna input is the J1 terminal. I couldn't find that anywhere.

Excellent! what a fantastic resource the cruisers forum truly is.

Re: SSB Antenna Question

Quick question:

will the newer AT 140 ICOM antenna tuner ICOM Tuner at West Marine work with an older m700 ICOM ssb?

Re: SSB Antenna Question

Here's an answer to my own question:

the ICOM AT-130 ( https://www.google.com/shopping/prod...ed=0CFIQ8wIwAA ) is compatible with the ICOM M700s
