Standard Horizon VHF: DW problem

Hi all! Strange new problem on Standard Horizon GX2200:
The Dual watch does not activate after several tries. Priority channel is set up on menu to ch 16, as it should be. When pushing the DW soft key, nothing happens on screen, and after testing w. handheld, DW is not active.

Hmmm, Interesting. I wonder if it is a defect in your radio, a inadvertent software change which affects the GX2200, or operator error.

On my GX2000 I switch to a channel such as CH22, and press dual watch.

A "DW-16" shows on the screen while the radio is active on CH22. When a CH16 transmission is detected the radio switches to CH16 for the duration of that transmission then back to CH22.

Can you state exactly how your radio reacts to those commands?

Yes, i have been reading the manual several times and tried to activate DW just as you suggested. There is the soft key option but it does not react.No success.. even tried tthe boot (cut the power) :-O

Sounds like there's something wrong with the unit. My pair of GX1850s work just as wingssail described. Might be worth getting in touch with Standard Horizon support and see if they have any ideas.

Could you have inadvertently reassigned the soft key to do something else? Both of my Standard Horizon radios work as Wingssail described. Make sure you are on the other channel when you activate DualWatch. If you are on 16 and try to activate it nothing happens. Don't ask how I know.

Does not work, and that is not how manual says.. thank you anyway.
I tried to do the factory reset as there is described in manual... that button combination does not work eather. Arrrghhh..

Tnx.. but I already configured it to another button. No effect.
BTW scan function doesn't work eather. And I have programmed the memory channels, that works.. preset ch. mode with those works too..Feels like software bug..

Problem solved:
There is a sub menu under general settings: Reset.
There you can reset different registries: AIS, DSC.... and also Channel functions!
I reset that and DW is working again.

User manual is out of date, so it took a while to go tru all the menu options.
Still NO response from SH suopport.
