Transferring Routes, GPX files, to new Raymarine Axiom Hybrid Touch

A friend of mine has changed his plotter to a new Ray Axiom Hybrid Touch and has asked for help getting his routes transferred from OpenCPN.

It's too bad this can't be done with the "Send to GPS" command in O, but the problem here is that I've not been able to do it the normal way, either.

I put the files on one of his chart cards (since there is no USB port unlike my Zeus), and use "Import Files", and the Raymarine sees the new folder I made for transferring routes, but doesn't see the files!

I tried putting the file in the root directory, but it doesn't see them there, either!

They are *.gpx files, so certainly the right format. Anyone know what the problem could be? Does Raymarine have a setting to block import of files by default, or something like that?

I will be grateful for any advice.

I think (therefore no guarantees), that the import file must be located on the SD Card in the folder \Raymarine\My Data

Then to import the data, HomeScreen > My Data > Import/Export > Import From Card.

With the latest version of the Lighthouse software, I believe that you can import routes & waypoints over NMEA 0183.

HomeScreen > My Data > Import/Export > Import via 0183. Then on OpenCPN perform the Send To GPS thingy and it should transmit the NMEA 0183 WPL sentences.

Good luck.

I am not seeing this in the latest (March 2024) Lighthouse documentation. I have also been told you can do this through the Raymarine phone ap, but it looks like maybe only if you use Lighthouse Charts on the iOS device...not from other programs that create a .gpx file.
