Unihertz Tank

I just ordered a pair of these. I'll let you know what I think.

Unihertz Tank

It's a pretty unusual cell phone, one that would be difficult to use as a pocketable cell phone on a day to day basis, but something that might be a really good swiss army knife on a boat.

1> 4 satellite network GPS accurate down to 1 meter
2> Rear multi mode flashlight including SOS
3> Compass
4> 256gb of storage
5> Waterproof, dustproof, shockproof
6> Most interestingly a massive 22,000 maH battery that reportedly gives it days of usable power.
7> A real IR night vision camera

Put Navionics on it and it might be a good replacement for a navigation tablet and our GPSmap with multi-day use without worrying about recharging.

And they are network unlocked in case you want to drop a foreign sim card into it.

Hope it goes well. I have been running a Blackview for many years very similar although not for navigation. The only downside I can see with the Tank is that it doesn't support wireless charging. The minute you open the charging cover corrosion sneaks in.

You could get one of these wireless charging add-ons and glue it with silicone in. Not pretty but could work.
Then glue a powerful wireless charger at a thin patch under your deck.

Has anyone tried using these wireless charging adapters? Are they reliable and do they last?
