Update CP175C OS

Has anyone updated the CP175C chartplotter by Standard Horizon to the new MAX compatible OS. I'm getting conflicting documentation from Standard Horizon and not much help. My main questions are does it take two cards to update the OS and can I update the OS prior to getting my MAX cards? Thanks

Not sure this will help, but we just added a CP175 to Sew Good ... and it already had the new software in it ... also have the chips to see us from here to VZ ... and they look great. The CP175 is actually manufactured by C-Map in Italy ...if Standard Horizon can't/won't help you, perhaps C-Map will.

Thanks Wahoo
C-Map technical support came through. The OS card is all that is required for the Max upgrade. The second (missing card) is for the upgraded world map. The OS upgrade can be done without any other cards.

The the menu for the upgraded OS will have 'Max Functions' between 'User Points' and 'Setup'. Unless you plan to upgrade you C-Card the old OS is fine. Getting the new OS will cost about $16 in postage if you return it. C-Map advised to follow the instructions included with the card not the ones on line. I'll defer to the C-Map site for specific differences between the NT and Max but basically you get a lot more content. The new OS is backward compatible.
