VHF radio mike cord

My Raymarine 215 VHF mike cord is, again, discoloring and cracking. They seem to last just 4 years before self destructing. It's been kept protected under canvas from the sun to no avail. Of course, Raymarine has stopped making them and repair entails splicing a new cable.

Anyone know of a supplier of spiral 6 conductor cable?

Thanks,
Ronbo

At least one of those conductors is probably shielded. You may already know this, you may not. Just FYI.

My cable got into a fight with a buffer and it lost. Standard Horizon had no black ones left but they had ivory colored ones. I bought one, went to the auto paint store and bought a can of black vinyl spray paint and painted it. It's held up well.

BTW: Check ebay. You just might find a cable or an entire microphone offered.
