Vion Clock Battery

Hello all, I've just bought a boat that has a nice Vion Marine clock, model A105, but no battery is fitted. It's not any of the usual types, AA or AAA for example, although it looks like it might be a similar shape but smaller. There aren't any markings to indicate even the voltage, emails to Vion Marine have not been answered, nor emails to Vion distributors. Does anyone out there have a similar clock or otherwise know what type of battery is required? Thanks!

I believe that it uses a N battery. Probably cost you less than 5 bucks to find out. Same diameter as a AA about half the length.

N battery - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Got mine at Walgreens

The N battery looks like a possibility Ironhorse74, thanks, all I have to do is find one to try it - I'm in the southern Caribbean where these things can be tricky!

Re: Vion Clock Battery

Dedza, the "N" batteries used to be commonly used in pagers. Radio Shack would be my first guess for a place that still carries them. Maybe WalGreen's. Or a camera shop.

Dedza, do you have a place you can get mail? I just bought that N size battery. Came in a 2 pack. I am sure the second battery's shelf life will be expired by the time the first one runs down. Shoot me a PM and I will mail you the other one.

Wow! Thanks Ironhorse74, that's very good of you. I can get mail here but it will cost to post it so I'll try and find one here first (Grenada), it might be possible, if I get stuck I'll let you know. Thanks again.

By the way, I just had it confirmed by a UK distributor that it is indeed an N-type battery that I need.
