What laptop?

Every suggestion has logic and sound reason behind it. I hate paying the mac premium, but love its ease of use and reliability. Mrs wants a Mac , but we shall see. I have to make sure a pactor modem works. I know I can portion the drive.

Like the ipad but may go with the Android tablet. Do find the apads no usb port stance annoying. Guess we will have to hit the big city this week!

Thank You SunDevil for your response; we are going with the
i pad and do so comfortably knowing we have at least two standard
backups. The idea of being able to walk around on deck while
viewing the plotter is simply irresistible
